Abstract: Collagen is a significant component in tissue regeneration, and it is the natural substrate for adhesion, growth and differentiation of connective tissue cells. The type I soluble collagen is commonly used as cell stimulator in regenerative procedures.
Heterologous Type I Collagen, in the form of a lyophilized collagen patch, is successfully being used for almost 30 years in Dermatology, Angiology and Vascular Surgery for the treatment of skin ulcers, open wounds, scars and bedsores. For several years now, a powder formulation, with the same active ingredient, heterologous type I collagen, is widely being used in Cosmetic Medicine and Anti-Aging Treatments, as it produces optimal conditions to restore connective tissue.
We are going to present HTIC, in order to clarify not only its indications, its mechanism of action, the way of preparation, and the infiltration technique, but also the protocol for antiaging and we will evaluate its efficacy and safety.
